"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Fall is my favorite season of the year. I enjoy and am thankful to God for every season, but Fall holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons. The closer we get to the start of the season, the more things appear to slow down:
Enjoying the Crisp Air
Having a Slice of Pumpkin Pie and/or a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Wearing my Favorite Sweaters
Preparing for the Approaching Holiday Season and more...
My list of things to do and enjoy during Fall can go on and on, because there are so many things to be thankful for.
There are many metaphors the Fall season symbolizes:
Assessing Life - Where are you now, and what direction would you like to take for new life journeys?
Embracing Change - Learn to embrace the unknown instead of running from it.
Learning to Let Go - Making room for other life journeys often requires first letting go.
For today's Discipleship Devotional, please take a moment to reflect on the past as you prepare for a prosperous future. I am going to help you do just that with my upcoming Podcast, LifePoint with Elton L. Young. I will provide more information in the coming days, and I look forward to your subscription. Please stay tuned.
As you prepare for what life has in store for you today, please carry this Discipleship Devotional in your spirit, heart, and mind. As we approach the changing of a new season, take the time to assess where things stand, prepare to embrace necessary changes, and learn to let go of some things to make room for others.
