From Pain to Peace

We are just one (1) days away from our Community Candlelight Vigil - A Light to Remember. Today, I would once again like to share a brief quote from my upcoming message and that quote is as follows:

"If God doesn't remove us from the valley, He will give us strength to walk through it."

Remember, Psalm 34:18 says, "God is near to the brokenhearted." That passage blesses me each time I read it because I'm reminded of what that verse does not say. It does not say that God is near only after the broken heart has healed, nor does it say that God distances Himself from the brokenhearted. The Greek word for "near" is "engus) which means God is close and His presence is intimate. 

I want you to pray about the above quote and consider what that quote means to you personally.
