I am crazy about the holidays, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. Including today, we are now ten (10) days away from celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. For the next few days, I plan to share poetry from some of my favorite poets with you. May each poetic line motivate and inspire you throughout this holiday season.

Enjoy!

If you were to create a snow globe of your year, what would it contain?

Would it hold every mistake you've made or every wrong turn you've taken?

Would it contain people no longer in your life and experiences you'd rather forget?

Or would you fill it with the people you love? The people who have been there for you; who are always there for you? Would it contain photographs of the places you've visited and moments of the adventures you've had?

Because I don't think you would waste time filling it with the things you'd rather not remember, but instead with the things you would rather not forget. I think it would hold the memories of those places and those people and those experiences that have made you feel most like you. Most alive. Like dancing in the snow on Christmas morning.

I think it would hold everything you treasure. As it should.

The year is almost done. It is time to start letting go of the things that you don't want to take into next year. Time to remind yourself of the world you want to create around you. The one that lets you live. Let's you dance. Lets you be you.

It is time to let it snow.
