Yesterday, my grandaughter called to speak to me before leaving home to start a new chapter in her life, college. Like many parents and grandparents, I too am so proud of my girl. I was blessed with the opportunity to talk with her about one of the most joyous life experiences she's about to embark upon.

This week, I would like to share tips for success with all students. These tips come from two Christian-based articles entitled "Desiring God" and "Open the Bible". Here's some tips students can relate to in one way or another: 

TIPS FOR ACADEMIC & CAMPUS-LIFE SUCCESS

  1. Own your convictions: Expect your worldview to be challenged by professors and peers; be ready to defend your faith with gentleness and respect. 
  2. Work with integrity: Treat your studies as an act of worship, completing your assignments honestly and on time.
  3. Balance freedom and discipline: Manage your sleep schedule, social life, and study habits responsibly.
